Term 4, Week 8

Making Nests

This week we worked in teams to design and build a nest.

Term 4, Week 5

This week we have done some revision of shapes and patterns.  We made some robots using a range of shapes. Before we begun we drew a plan of what our robot what look like.

Term 4, Week 4

This term we are learning all about teamwork and working together. We made a class quilt by making individual squares using hot and cold coloured pastels and then gluing all the pieces together.

In writing we have been learning about procedural writing. We made paper lanterns and then wrote instructions for somebody else to follow.

Term 4, Week 3

On Tuesday afternoon Ria's mum came in to talk to us about Diwali and make some rangoli patterns using coloured rice and rice flour. We had a lot of fun making our wonderful patterns.

Term 4, Week 2

This week we are all displaying a piece of art we have created this year for our art exhibition. Each child in our school has a piece of art on display.  Here are some examples of the art created at our school.





Meg the Chicken

As part of our school art exhibition our class created a wonderful, vibrant chicken! We have been learning about working together as a team. Mrs Hanson drew the chicken shape and cut it out and we all learnt how to make paper feathers. We are all so proud of our beautiful creation.

Soccer Fun

On Wednesday we have some coaches come to school to teach us some simple soccer skills through fun games. It was a great way to burn off some energy on a Wednesday afternoon and learn some kicking and passing moves!

Term 4, Week 1

The first week back was a Chinese language week.  Children with a Chinese heritage were given the opportunity to wear some clothing to school that reflected their culture. Claire and Ivy arrived at school today in their beautiful clothes.

We are so excited to take our little plants home today!  There are all flowers so we are going to plant them in our gardens to help the bees!
